Skilled Nursing Code Cases 11.29

Cases in this advanced* ICD-10-CM training course are new material and will include a mix of injuries, post-op complications, infections, and clinically complex cases.  Attendees are fully engaged reviewing skilled nursing code cases 
Identify the primary diagnosis.
Locate the default clinical category on the CMS Mapping Tool.
Review section J of the MDS for a change in default clinical category as applicable.
To ensure optimal reimbursement, section I8000 will be reviewed to identify NTA and speech comorbidity opportunities.

​The week of the course date, attendees will have access to the course worksheet.  Step by step education is provided on the correct ICD-10-CM code assignment, starting with the alphabetical index, followed with the tabular.
